This is not merely a saree but a tribute to our tradition and timeless tale of Ramayan.
The saree is made on Pure desi Tussar in its natural beige shade and sheen and then the same is hand embroidered. The palla of the saree depicts the famous scene from Ramayan when Ravan abducts Sitaji in his Pushpak Vimaan. The valiant bird Jatayu is portrayed mid-flight, engaging Ravana in an epic struggle to rescue Sita. The Viman is floating amongst the clouds. The entire saree has floating clouds that are hand embroidered in various shades of blue. The saree features the characteristic running stitch of Kantha embroidery, blending mythological storytelling with a modern aesthetic.
Truly a wearable art. The blouse has work on sleeves too.
